I had high hopes for this place, but I must say everything from the atmosphere to the food was not at all what I expected. First of all with a name like The Grill, I assumed (wrongly) that this would be a slightly more laid back restaurant with great food. Lord knows there are already enough high end restaurants within a two mile radius (see Le Creole, Ruffino's & French Market Bistro). Nonetheless, I'm always up to try a new spot! My bf and I walked in and were by at least a decade the youngest people in the room...slightly strange, but okay. There was a faux Frank Sinatra singing in the dining room which was also strange but could explain the crowd. Onto the food experience, the menu wasn't making my choice easy as most of the dishes had little to no description and nothing stood out as having a wow! factor. My date and I both started with the turtle soup (it's my favorite soup). The soup was runny and had very little turtle meat. The egg wasn't quite what I was expecting either, but the actual flavor wasn't bad. We then decided on a bottle of wine and that was also a tough choice since the list was super short. The wine was just okay...not terrible, not great. Our main dish choices were tough to make but I chose the scallops with gnocchi in a mushroom cream sauce. I was hesitant as it sounds like a plate with no texture and to my surprise, there was texture alright. The gnocchi was premade Sysco style and the cream sauce was oily...gross! I don't expect to pay $36 for a dish that has Sysco gnocchi (no offense to Sysco). It was a shame because the scallops were actually cooked quite well. My bf had veal piccata and it was very bland and certainly nothing to write home about. In my opinon, someone needs to turn this spot into a casual, good food and good happy hour type of place. Just because it's close to CCL doesn't mean it has to be expensive dining. I think everyone, everywhere can appreciate a place that you can show up to in jeans and flip flops and still get a decent meal.

Nope. Wasn't impressed. We couldn't even tell if it was open. Not welcoming from the outside. Food was BlAh and expensive for lunch. Oh well.

Great happy hour! $5 martinis from 3-6!! Really excited about this new place to hang out for drinks and dinner. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very nice. If you're a Frank Sinatra fan, there is a singer that performs on Saturday nights that sounds EXACTLY like him. Overall a great experience.

Horrible food, service and atmosphere. We had to wait an hour to get our entree for 7 people and they each came out over the course of 10 minutes. Understaffed, bad food and service. Wow was I disappointed. I'm not going back to say the least. Avoid!

I dined at this restaurant the first time last weekend. It is a really nice place. The food was good. The atmosphere was good. They have a great bar area.

My friend and I walked in and looked at the menu and weren't very interested until the waitress ran out and told us we were looking at the wrong menu! We decided to stay and good thing. Lunch was very reasonably priced and the food was very high quality and delicious! Wendy was very knowledgable and super friendly. Highly recommended.
